from the past:

Jon Brandes 90, the best doubles player ever at Westwood,
graduated Texas A&M and its vet school and is practicing here in Austin
where he is an everyday runner. That is strange since he hated to run when he
played.
- Jesse Butler 90 lettered four years in tennis at Baylor, graduated from Texas Tech School of Law, and is working in Austin. He is also an accomplished marathon runner and triathlete.
- David Cumming 93 graduated SMU, and he and his wife, Kim, have two
children and have moved back to Austin.
- Chuck Dodsworth 93 graduated from the FBI Academy and is working in the
Northwest for J.Edgar Hoover and company.
- John Gonsoulin 93 is working for a prestigious law firm in D.C. after graduating from Harvard Law. He and his wife, Amy, have two young sons, Patrick and Phillip.
- Shawna Lemon Carrell graduated from Westwood in 1993. She attended and played at St. Edwards Univ. She is married and works at Dell here in Austin.
- Jeremy Wiseman 93 finally graduated from Southwestern Univ. and has finished medical school in Galveston. He is now taking applications for nurses, and hopefully, will come back to work in his father's office.
- Jennifer Opland Zatopek '93 is a practicing dentist in the Westwood area and is still trying to get Coach Hood to be her patient. Maybe she is trying to get back and inflict pain to him for all the running he made her do as a player?
- Ben Esch 94 graduated U.T. with a degree in German (what else?) and is working in the Austin area working as a translator.
- Chris Klepper 94 graduated Tyler J.C. and Illinois St. and was a tennis All-American while at Tyler. He had been a teaching pro, working with many of the current Westwood players and is a teaching pro in Austin.
- Mike Hodges '96 is working for an energy company in Oklahoma City and is married to a wonderful young lady, Adrienne.
- Tabitha Adams Smith 96 lives in Austin with husband, Bryan, who is a teaching pro and is now an elementary teacher in the Austin area.
- Jennifer Gonsoulin 97 now has two children and lives in Cedar Park and still plays tennis every week.
- Mike Oates 97 graduated U.T. with a degree in Economics, is working for his father doing something-to-do-with-computers!
- Dagmara Mocala '97 graduated U.T. and is now working with the Council of Economic Advisers in D.C.
- Nathan Rylander 98 also has began his medical career. He, like Wiseman, graduated from U.T. Galveston Medical school and is working an MD (psychiatrist).
- Kirti Gani graduated U.T. and is working here in Austin at IBM and is actually a married man.
- Ashley & Lindsey Hedberg '99. Ashley was "player of the year" in this region's NCAA area and graduated from Texas A&M with a marketing degree and is working in S. California and teaching a little tennis on the side. Lindsay graduated from San Diego State Univ. and is also teaching a little tennis but has a full time job.
- Lindsay Stanford '00 graduated from Schreiner Univ. where she captained the tennis team. She is now working here in the Austin area selling medical device sales.
- Sean Fifield '00 and a '04 graduate of Trinity University and has graduated from South Texas School of Law in Houston. Sean Played and earned All-American honors while playing at Trinity. Sean is working for Harris County DA's office in Houston.
- Jared Cardiff '00 and a 04 graduate of Southwestern University and also graduated from South Texas School of Law. in May. I Oh yes, Jared played his college tennis there at Southwestern. Jared is a working attorney in Houston and will be a married man in June '09.
- Travis Dalrymple 00 graduated in May with a degree in math and a minor in sociology from Texas State and is now starting his 4th year as the head tennis coach at Stony Point High School here in Round Rock.
- Leslie Stewart '01 graduated from University of Louisville last May with a degree in Psychology and is now a U.S.P.T.A. ctennis teaching professional and teaching tennis at Westwood Country Club in Austin. She is about to complete her teaching certification to teach school next fall.
- Jamin Thompson '98 played at Univ. Miami and Clemson Univ. He also received his master's degree from The Citadel. He is now working on his own company and is a male model......... (Email me if you want his website)
- Micah Thompson '99 played and graduated at Clemson and is now a GM for a large restaurant chain and is hoping to open his own restaurant in Baltimore this year.
- Nathan Thompson '01 played and graduated from Clemson where he was an All American. He is currently playing the USTA satellite circuit. Nathan has also had the opportunity to hit and travel with the U.S.A. Davis Cup team.
- Laura Cumming '98 became an All-American at Trinity Univ., graduated with a MEd. and is a fourth grade teacher in San Antonio at Randolph AFB.
- Ashwin Kumar '04 was an All-American at Harvard University, graduated with a degree in business/finance. However, he moved back to Austin to train for the pro tennis circuit. We wish him all the luck in his new endeavor.
