Webmaster Information

Warriorsports.org

Warriorsports.org is owned and operated by the Westwood Warrior Football Booster Club. We provide space to most of the athletic teams at Westwood High School. Please contact me if your team would like to run their website on the warriorpsorts.org server.

Server

Warriorsports.org is currently serving 12 different sports and while the server is quite robust it is important to manage the web space and bandwidth limitations wisely. Image galleries should be kept for the current season only and the individual images should be reduced in size and quality. This will decrease your load times and improve overall server performance.

Usernames and Passwords

Please contact me for usernames and passwords. I will also need to know if you require frontpage extensions.

Directories

Each sport has it's own folder on warriorsports.org.  Please be very carful to write files only to the directory for your sport. (e.g. http://warriorsports.org/baseball contains all of the files for the baseball website).

The  WestwoodWestwood W

The official Westwood "W" is a standard "Bookman Old Style" windows font. I use web color #CC6600 with a 2px black stroke. The "W" that resembles the Wisconsin Badgers "W" should not be used.

Webmaster Registration

From time to time I need to contact individual webmasters to inform them about changes on warriorsports.org. (an example would be last years server move where everyone lost their frontpage information and their menu systems died. If I knew who you were and that you needed FPE, I would have converted all the pages and you would never know we moved ;->)

I would also like to determine if there would be interest in a forum to discuss and exchange ideas on web development on warriorsports.org. For example, I've just converted from frontpage to expression web and am using CSS. I've had a number of questions on this topic and I suspect some of y'all could have answered them.
