JV Orange - 0

Stony Point – 45

The Warriors opened district play vs Stony Point. It was a tuff night for the Warriors. The final score was 45-0 Tigers. The Warriors offense was unable to put anything together. The defense played well most of the game but had a tuff time trying to hang on to the Tigers shifty running back. The Warriors will go back to work next week. The next game is against the Round Rock Dragons.

JV White - 9

Stony Point – 14

The Westwood Warriors lost their first game of the season to the Stony Point Tigers making their record to 3-1 on the season. It was a tough game from start all the way to the finish. The only score of the day came on a spectacular run by Andrew Meaux. Zac Leininger also made a 30 yard field goal. Defensively the Warriors hung in there and played the Tigers very well. The defensive unit was able to do a lot of things to slow Stony Point down and get them out of their rhythm at times. Azariah Johnson intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter that sent up a touchdown for the offense. The defense played extremely hard in this tough loss.

Freshman Orange - 27

Stony Point – 28

The Warriors ran into a good Stony Point team and lost 28-27 in a well fought game. The Warrioros dropped to 2-2 on the season. The warrior offense started with a 4 yard touchdown run by Rory McCullough. The next score by the offense was a pass from Ben Johnson to Matt Schwarz. Shwarz and Johnson hooker up again for another touchdown in the third quarter.The last touchdown was scored by Weslee Rocco as he went untouched on a‍screen play. Jake Pearcy also had several key catches. The entireoffensive line for the warriors was very good. The defense also playted a tough game and fought hard until the end. James Ingram had a great interception and return that ended up as points for the Warriors. Tyler Lewis, Ian Fry, Oscar Rivera, Dylan Proctor,Trevor Eddleton, and Daniel Berry played well for the Warriors. The warriors play next week against the Round Rock Dragons.

Freshman White - 8

Stony Point– 19

The Freshman white team dropped its first game of the year to Stony Pointmoving the Warrior Freshman White Team to 3 -1 on the season. The‍Freshman White Offense had a hard time scoring on a tough Stony Point Defense. This along with costly turnovers was too much for the Freshman White Team to overcome. The Warriors only score in the contest was a on an interception by Ryan Leggett that he returned for a touchdown. This was followed up by a two point conversion by Dustin Madson. Defense had a great overall effort.
