JV White - 14
Leander - 27
The Westwood Warriors lost their third game of the season to the Leander Lions making their record 3-3 on the season. The offense had tough day but still had some bright spots. Quarterback Kyle Jacobson connected with Tight End Matthew Litz for a long throw and catch, which led to running back Andrew Meaux taking it in from 3 yards on the very next play for the Warriors only offensive score of the night. The Westwood Warrior defense once again played a tough, hard nose game. The defensive line consisting of Andrew Potter, Jacob Levitus, Kavin Ajani and Ross Hendrickson, stuffed the Leander Lions offense through sure tackles and hard hits all night long. Jae Suh, Garret Baskin and Jordan Fisher flew around and made a lot of plays from the linebacker positions. Safety Matthew Litz intercepted a Lions pass in the 2nd half that gave the defense even more fuel to give the Lions trouble.

Westwood Orange 16
Leander 16
This was a game of two halves again for the Warriors. The defense gave up two scores and played great other than that. The continued to give the ball back to the offense and stop a talented Leander team. The offense struggled early but bounced back late in the game. There were several good passes from Ben Johnson and catches by Rory McCullough, Matt Schwarz, and Jake Pearcy. The running back combo of Weslee Rocco and Quinton Marshall were tough down the stretch. The defense was led by Brad Florence, Ian Fry, Andrew Medford, Colton Conrad, Oscar Rivera, and James Ingram. The game was tied with a 44 yard field goal with no time left on the clock.Rory McCullough banged it through as the buzzer sounded. It was a dramatic tie against a good Leander team. The Warriors play next week against the Georgetown Eagles.

Freshman White - 7
Leander– 21
The Freshman white team dropped its third straight game to Leander movingthe Warrior Freshman White Team to 3 -3 on the season. I was a difficultnight scoring for the Warriors. A tough and fast font-line for Leander made it hard for the warrior offense to execute. That along with costly turnovers was too much for the Freshman White Team to overcome. The Warriors did score on a touchdown run by Victor Young, followed by a successful extra point attempt by Ryan Leggett. The entire warrior defense played a tough game. Standout defensive players where Travis Brumley striping the ball from a Leander ball carrier and recovering the fumble and Chris Adams with a big interception. The Warrior White team will play Georgetown next week at Georgetown.
