Austin high - 34
The Warriors lost on Thursday night to the Maroons. There were too many penalties which kept the offense in long yardage situations for much of the 1st half. On the best drive of the 1st half the Warriors fumbled. There were also some questionable calls which allowed the Maroons to keep control of the ball. At the half , the score was 20-0 Maroons. The Warriors fought hard and managed to get some good drives together with some good play from the offensive line (Mason Leal, Saxton Stockton, Sterling Sanders, Chris Moritz, Doug Maunder, Tyler Sanders and Andrew Reinecke). Both TE's played well, Travis Fueling and Josh Davis. Quentin Thomas made some good runs along with some great catches by Carlos Chinchilla, Miles Pierce and Scott Robinson. Miles Pierce scored on nice passes from Brooks Eady. Scott Robinson also caught a 2pt conversion pass. There was some good defensive effort by Aaron Moore , Heru Martin, Paul Vineis ,Alex Chinchilla and Akil Maknojia. The final score was Maronns 34, Warriors 14. The Warriors play Stony Point next week.

Austin High - 6
The Westwood Warriors scored 26 points in a win against the Austin High Maroons to boost their record to 3-0 on the season. Again, the offensive line, consisting of Kent Holmstrom, Tyler Smith, Jared Garcia, Jordan Fischer, Nic Wyzakowski, Saifali Mohd, and Jake Balog, allowed Quarterback Kyle Jacobson to throw for 1 touchdown on the night and allowed runningback Weston Washington to rush for 2 additional touchdowns. Wide receivers Ryan Stidham, Matt Litz, Dalton Buchan, and Andrew Meaux all had great nights catching the ball and blocking the secondary. The Warrior Defense showed up in a big way by only giving up 6 points to the Austin High Maroons. The defensive line, consisting of Keith Quintanilla, Kevin Ajani, Ross Hendrickson, Jacob Levitus, Aaron Speaks, Andrew Potter, Richard Hernandez, James Bigley, and Alex Calupa provided great preasure on the QB that allowed strong safety Matthew Litz to grab two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Linebackers Jae Suh, Garret Baskin and Blake Traywick all provided hard, intense inside play that kept the Maroons running from sideline to sideline. Keif Alvery, Azariah Johnson and Alex Brankner all had critical tackles during that game to keep the Maroons limited in their offensive attack. Brian Collins, Stefan Cosma, Daniel Duncan and Mark Montez also played very well in the defensive secondary.

Freshman Orange - 33
Austin High - 6
The Orange team went to 2-1 with a big win over the Austin Maroons. The offense started off hot and played a great game while defense didn't give up point until late in the fourth quarter. Rory McCullough started things off with a 1 yard TD run. Ben Johnson added two touchdown runs and and one in the air to Matt Schwarz. The entire defense came to play against the Maroons. Tyler Lewis had a early interception and the Warriors never looked back. Ian Fry, James Ingram, Stephen Demauchet, and Alex Lundry led the defense. The warriors start district next week against the Stony Point Tigers.

Freshman White - 14
Austin Bowie - 0
The Freshman white team moved to 3 -0 on the season with a victory over Austin Bowie. Tough play by the entire defense, and two key interceptions shut the Bulldogs out in the contest. The warrior offense scored two touch downs one by Frank Mora and one by Victor Young. Tucker Kennemer added a two point conversion to top the Warrior scoring off at 14 for the game.
The offensive line had a great effort with key blocking by Will Pollock, Ty McCall, Alex Pence, Devin Cready and Mike Olson. Tight-ends William Kirkgard and Josh Eversman had key receptions throughout the game to keep the offensive drives going. The Warrior White team plays the Stony Point Tigers next week.
