The Warriors ended the 2003 regular season tied for 3rd place in district 14-5A with the Cedar Park Timberwolves and the Georgetown Eagles.  The district rules provide that the results among the tied teams as a percentage will be considered before reverting to a tiebreaking series of games.  The Warriors, 3-1 against the other teams, advance into the playoffs in the third place spot ahead of Georgetown, 2-2, and Cedar Park 1-3.

There will be a Booster Club meeting held in the new film room of the weight room on Thursday, April 10th at 7:30 pm. The main purpose of the meeting will be to elect officers for next year.

In accord with the bylaws, Charlie Trammell has appointed Dave Mire and Rodney Taylor to be the nominating committee. They will put together a list of candidates for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These are the 4 elected positions of the club. If you have a candidate you wish to nominate or want to volunteer for a position to be voted on please send an email to Charlie Trammell and he will forward it to Dave Mire.

As part of the meeting we need to amend the bylaws to hold the election at this time. The current bylaws read that the nominating committee will present the candidates for election at the first business meeting of the following year. It would be better to have a set of officers before the first business meeting of the club. There is a significant amount of planning that needs to take place prior to the first meeting to allow the club to be most effective. Therefore, the following amendment will be proposed "the nominating committee will present candidates for election for the following year at the first Booster Club meeting held in April."

The Hit-a-Thon during Warrior Day was a great success. Pledges need to be collected and turned in by Monday, February 10. Refer to the Official Results to determine how much to collect against the pledges.

The Baseball Preseason Banquet will be held at 6:00 pm February 17 in the Westwood Cafeteria. The cost is $7.00 for players, parents, and students. Children under 5 are free. Meal tickets MUST be ordered in advance, by February 10, to give an accurate count to Rudy's BBQ.

Tuesday afternoon Charlie Trammell sent home with the players forms for booster club membership, program ad sales, and banquet ticket sales. Ask your son where they are if you did not receive them, or download new copies from the website. You won't want to miss out on the BBQ at the banquet.

Special thanks to everyone that attended and worked so hard in the cold and rain today. It was the best turnout and most productive work day I have seen in the last 4 years. The field, bullpen, JV field, batting cages and offensive station look great. The entire complex looks nice. Thanks to Lisa Mire and Nancy Trammell for also cleaning up the concession this past week.

We have a few smaller projects to do in the near future so you may get a call asking for some additional help.

The 2 most important projects to complete are the Hit-a-thon and selling program ads. We have sold and collected less than $2000 in ads. We have a long way to go to hit $7500 in a short period of time. We need to close out our sales campaign asap so we can go to press. So please do your best between now and the Booster Club meeting on Feb.5th.

The players have only this week to sign up pledges for the hit-a-thon. The target is to get $1.00 in pledges for each foot they hit the ball. Also. we will need some help Saturday on the field, press box and concession stand during Warrior day.

Thanks again,
Charlie Trammell
